Holden at 26

WANTED: CREATIVE AND SUPPORTED RESPONSES!
You should be well-versed in Holden after reading the novel and thinking about him. Knowing what you do, create a hypothetical Holden, 10 years after the novel's close. Consider what he'll be doing...his attitude...his job...his health...his family...or his goals. Connect your predictions to background from the book.

Keep responses brief but thoughtful to allow everyone a chance to add something new!

A Question of Censorship

Hi Everybody,
For your consideration...
Jake Stanko includes CATCHER in his I-Search as one example of a book that's been censored in some high schools. Make your case for including the work in a high school American literature course.

Hi Everybody,

Feel free to continue sharing your views...but only respond a few times to the question posted below...please avoid repeats or simple outright agreement! I'll be posting another question once a number of you have shared your views (and exhausted possible responses). You're responsible for posting 5 times by Friday, May 2nd. This blog, by the way is a required, not bonus, assignment!
